I won't soon forget the thrill of walking into a bookstore for the first time after COVID isolation and actually touching the books. As a reader and an author, I am committed to supporting independent bookstores  Many of these bookstores serve as tremendous community centers offering programs and events for all ages and interests. While perusing the books, it is wonderful to have the expertise and knowledge base of a well-trained staff standing by. And, of course, meeting people or running into old friends is the best.
